Because it only requires a laptop, a few hundred dollars and 2 hours a day of work.

1. The Digital Creator

As a digital creator you create content on a specific niche, industry or domain by sharing your skills and knowledge.

You have many content platforms to choose from like: Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, Meta and Twitter (X).

If you are comfortable on camera, video platforms are the best choice for you.

If you are an introvert like me and you don’t like the camera but you still want to create content then Twitter (X), LinkedIn and Beehiiv are the best options for you.

Business ideas for digital creators:

  • Become a blogger: share your life and partner with brands to promote their products and services that fit into your lifestyle.

  • Course creation: If you are an expert on something you can create and sell courses.

  • Ghostwriting: This is ideal for text based creators. Ghostwrite content for other creators, founders, and businesses.

Example of a Digital creator: Dickie Bush

Dickie is one of biggest creator in the Twitter space, who has an online writing business (Ship30for30) that generates multiple 7-figures a year.

2. The One-Person Agency Owner

Are you are a master in your craft?

If you have skills like editing, writing, web design, coding, etc. One-person agency is the path for you.

You can offer your skills as a productized service to businesses and individuals who need it.

All you need is a laptop, internet connection, a monetizeable skill and an audience (not necessary but a huge advantage).

You can get paid on per project bases, or have clients on monthly retainers.

One-person agency business ideas:

  • Design Agency : offer design services to businesses and founders.

  • Ghostwriting Agency: Write content for businesses like emails, tweets, sales copy and more.

  • Copywriting agency: offer copywriting services to businesses.

    Video editing agency: offer video editing and ad creatives for businesses, creators, etc.

Bret is a genius, he started as a freelance graphic designer and then he turned it into one man agency based on a single skill (design) which generated 1.8 million a year.

The most crazy part, he only works 6 hours a day, that's because of his genius business model.

3. The Consultant

Consultants are skilled professionals with a unique eye for problem solving.

As a consultant your main goal is to help your clients solve problems using your knowledge and expertise.

If you are good at your job, finance, marketing, accounting, etc. You can easily start a digital business as a consultant.

Consultant business ideas:

  • Marketing consultant: help business improve their marketing.

  • Financial consultant: analyze financial performance of businesses and help them achieve their financial goals.

JK Molina isn’t a traditional consultant by any means, what he has done is mastered the skill of creating offers.

He uses his expertise in offer creation and consults other creators who want to maximize returns with irresistible offers.

4. The Coach

Side note: I have personally build a 6-figure business in 18 month as a coach, so it’s definitely one of my favourite ones.

As a coach you work 1 on 1 or in a group with clients to share your knowledge and experience to help them achieve their goals.

If you are good at a specific thing and you have a passion for teaching this is the path for you.

Traditional teaching and coaching is done in person which limits your time and location freedom.

But, you can offer your services digitally, that can be huge freedom unlock for you.

Business ideas for coach:

  • Digital Personal Trainer: help other get in a better shape via online coach.

  • Business coach: provide 1 on 1 coaching to business owners who operate in field of your expertise.

  • Academic coach: help students perform better in academic tests like, SAT, MCAT, GMAT and more.

Example of a coach: Dan Go

Dan Go is a high performance coach that shares actionable tips for busy entrepreneurs to optimize their health.
