8 steps to turn yourself into digital business

Anyone can use these:

Everyone wants to have digital business.

A business that lets you quit the job that hate.

A business that gives you financial freedom.

A business that allows you to live life on your own terms.

But the problem most people face is that, they think they need lots of money and some revolutionary idea to build a successful business.

Well that is true..

Only if you are trying to be the next facebook or uber.

But for most people that’s not the case.

Most people are stuck in a 9-5 and a limited amount of time and money to start a business.

And they can’t afford to just quit their job to go “all-in” on a business.

The good part is the internet and social media has levelled the plating field for everyone.

Now you can simply turn yourself into a multi-figure digital business.

If you have laptop and a unique skill or knowledge (both of which you have).

In this issue, I’ll walk you through 8 Step you can use to turn yourself in a digital business.

Step 1: Find your Unique Niche

There are 2 ways you can do that:

First, by identifying a unique skillset.

— A skill you use at your professional 9-5 or some self taught skill you have.

Second, by identifying a unique problem you have solved.

— Think about the problems you have solved for yourself or a big challenge you overcame.

Step 2: Build your business foundations

I call them the 4 foundation pillars

Identify your:

  1. Target audience

  2. Ideal customer avatar

  3. Solution

  4. Unique selling proposition (USP)

Note: This is the most important step, if you don’t do this properly everything you do after is pointless.

Step 3: Build an engaging digital profile

An important element of turning yourself into a digital business is having a well constructed digital identify.

Pick a platform where your target audience is, then:

  • Have a profile looking profile picture.

  • A clear bio that states your USP

  • A banner that highlight your USP again

Doing these things will help you have an digital identity that people trust and connect with.

Step 4: Create content and generate traffic

Now there are 2 ways you can do that:

  • Organic Social

  • Paid Social

Both work well.

I like the paid social way better because I can use money to fuel my business growth with Meta ads.

But If you are doing the organic social then you’ll need a content system.

Step 5: Build an email list/newsletter

This is the holy grail of your business.

The whole purpose of your content to drive people to your email newsletter.

Your email newsletter audience is something you truly own.

No one can take that away from you.

You have direct connection with your audience who are your customers.

You don’t have rely on social media algorithm or constantly spend money to ads to sell your product or services.

All the content you post should have a CTA that drives people to your email.

Step 6: Identify a problem

Before you build a product or service, you need to know the problem your audience is facing.

There are 3 ways you can do that:

  • Survey your audience

  • Live Q/A in a group call

  • 1 on 1 calls

Understand their pain points and identify a common pattern in the problems you see.

Step 7: Build an offer

Once you have identified a common problem.

Now build an offer (a product or service) that will solve the problem your audience is facing.

Step 8: Sell → Feedback → Improve

Once you have build your offer start selling it.

Then, collect feedback from your customers and improve your offer based on the feedback you receive.
